homework

My poor boy! Since the first day of school, Matthew has been loaded down with homework. I'm all for homework but 3-5 hours of it! He worked on homework the other day from 4: to 9:30. He looked like he went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson! Now, I have been out of school for almost 20 years (Yes I'm getting old) and some of the stuff he brings home I don't even remember doing at his age. Maybe I should have paid more attention in school. I can already see that he may end up like me. I stuggled in school the whole time I was in and I don't want him to go through that. It's so hard to see your child struggle:(

Sick out

Well, one of the benefits of the kids all being in school is that when I am sick, which is now, I can take them to school and come home and go back to bed, which I did, for uninterrupted rest. I hate feeling sick because it reminds me of all my pregnancies and how sick I was. No! I am not pregnant, I was just relating:) I have a head cold and I hate those. Now I'm probably going to pass it to the kids and then the perfect attendance goes out the window. I try to not let them miss unless absolutely necessary. Matthew was in first grade when he had perfect attendance! Well, I'm off to the couch now. Say a prayer for me.

The rest of the Family

I have 3 other members of the family. My dog, Buster, he is a 19 month old dachshund. He is awesome. My cat, goose, is a grey and white domestic. He is 2 1/2 years old and is fat:) My kitten, Gracie will be one on the 23rd. My husband, Marvin is the wonderful man that God gave to me. He is the best dad to our kids. He loves them so much.

suprmom4: September 2006

suprmom4: September 2006 My kids started school on Sept. 6th. It is the first time they are all in school all day long. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I only teared up twice. They need the break from me as much as I from them. I do look foward to the end of the school day so I can hear all about their day. The twins have adjusted well and love that they get to eat lunch at school and look foward to what I packed for them. Matthew doesn't like the fact that he has homework everyday. Ashlee thinks everything is too easy! Maybe I have a smarty pants in the family. I told her it would get harder as she moves along.

My four schoolers
