SELAH-more sad news

A few posts ago, I wrote a blog about Todd and Angie Smith and the loss of their baby, Audrey, after she was born. Well, today, I read her blog and Todd's sister, Nicol Spongberg, who sang with Selah, lost her 2 month old son, Luke. No details were given but that she went to check on him and he wasn't breathing. My immediate thought was "crib death". Please be praying for that family and beyond. According to the blog, they are all traveling to Georgia to be with Nicol and her family.

There has been alot of tragedy with Christian artists this week. Tragedy strikes everyone at some point. It doesn't matter if your "christian" or not. I cannot even imagine losing a baby or a child. My Niece, Amber, died of crib death and that was hard enough!

On a lighter note, school is almost over, and I am actually glad this time. I'm tired of going back and forth, especially at $4 a gallon! It will be nice to sleep in and not have to rush around every morning! I wish Marvin, could have the summer off too! We hope to go to Tennessee this summer to see Ken and Robin, and the kids in their new home. Other than that, we are sticking close to home this summer. We bought a used pop-up that we are hoping to use this year too and do some camping.

Matthew is going to Colorado when school is out for 10 days, to do missions work with the youth. It's the first time he is leaving the state without me and it freaks me out. I am already praying for safety and that he will be okay with the "older" youth. He is one of the youngest youth going and the others like to use that for their advantage!(Just horsing around w/ him) I hope he uses this time away with church that he grows spiritually.

Well, that's it for now. Remember to pray for the Smith family and Nicol Spongberg during this difficult time.
